Dear Scarlet

This is a project to our daughter, Scarlet. We, your parents, are documenting your life. Our hope is that when you grow older you'll be able to look back and see how happy you have always made us.

- Scarlet: (from tub) I'm pretending like I'm Ariel and giving mermaid lessons.
- Me: I used to pretend to be Ariel when I was in the bath too.
- Scarlet: I like mermaids. They're my favorite animal.
- Me: I don't know if mermaids really classify as animals.
- Scarlet: Fine then, unicorns are.
