Dear Scarlet

Dear Scarlet,
Hey you crazy kid, how ya doing? We’ve been hanging out a lot lately and that’s just fine with me. Here you are, in the yard of a little place we love to frequent called Red Cup. It’s a little coffee/tea shop in Oklahoma City where I get black hot tea and you get fresh lemonade. Sometimes we get a pecan square and when I’m not looking, you sneak a little extra piece. You think I don’t know, but the truth is, I do and I don’t mind so much. It’s important to always want more and to always strive for better, so that you are always growing.
We’ve developed our own funny little quirks together; mostly dancing to whatever funny song is playing at Red Cup or making pretend soup in the fountain out in the little ‘courtyard’ area. You’re such a little social butterfly here too, always saying “hi” to people or smiling at them and doing that silly little giggle that you do. Here’s to more daddy-daughter adventures.
